Social video gets shared 1200% more than text and images combined - it’s the queen of content! And demand for more video just keeps on rising.

The good news is, you don’t need to be a professional filmmaker to harness the power of video. Even creating small and simple films can have a massive impact on your reach and engagement.

Any smartphone with a video function can produce fantastic quality videos, but you need to know what you’re doing.  In this workshop, filmmaker Lottie Stevenson will guide you through:

  • Setting up your phone to be the best video camera possible

  • Working out what to film

  • Basic shooting skills

  • Short practical session

  • Mini editing guide

ABOUT OUR EXPERT

Former BBC video journalist Lottie Stevenson has been filming for over a decade. She spent years shooting and editing stories for BBC News, before setting up her own creative video company specialising in making powerful films for websites and social platforms.

Lottie discovered the video potential of her smartphone while on maternity leave, when she started creating mini films on her mobile. She soon realised that most people had no idea how to use the filming capabilities within the video camera they already owned - their phone!

She was soon teaching a sell-out course on mobile video creation at Oxford University, and travelling the UK showing people how to adapt professional filming techniques to create amazing videos with their mobiles.
